Greening the red bench

This morning Killarney Bushcare joined Killarney Community Gardens to continue transforming the area around the new Red Bench in Canning Park.

Working together, volunteers planted out the Community Gardens side of the fence to complement the beginnings of a native garden already established by Condamine Headwaters Landcare around the bench. It was a great example of local groups working together to create a welcoming space for the whole community while supporting local biodiversity.

A big thank you to everyone who came along, got their hands dirty, and stayed to enjoy some well-earned morning tea together. Every planting day like this helps make Killarney a greener, more connected place.
